GCC is excited to launch History in Action, a hands-on training series designed to empower members to create transformative change in their communities. This series combines historical insights, practical organizing strategies, and real-world applications to help participants become effective leaders and advocates.
Part I: Lessons From the Civil Rights Movement

Institutions, building relationships, and organizing are rooted in facing challenging times. Moments in history are crucial to learn to help us shape how we create change moving forward. This training will focus on organizing lessons that are often not shared as they relate to the Civil Rights Movement. In addition, skills to develop or sharpen on Power, moving from Problem to Issue, and the importance of a Power Analysis to take ACTION.
