on Issue 1 - The way politicians draw voting maps is crooked.
- Regular people should be drawing them instead.
- We support the creation of the nonpartisan Ohio Citizens Redistricting Commission.
Politicians wanted to confuse us by burying this ballot in a lot of confusing language that hides what they’re trying to do to our maps.
But we see through it, and we’ve had enough. This is our opportunity to take our power and end the swindle of controlling our maps. (By letting the people draw the maps)
Stand with us and vote yes and end gerrymandering once and for all!
A “YES” VOTE
means you support the creation of the Ohio Citizens Redistricting Commission – a group of 15 regular people (not politicians) who would be in charge of deciding how to redraw voting district maps.
A “NO” VOTE
means you support keeping the current system, where politicians benefit themselves by deciding how voting district maps are drawn – through the Ohio Redistricting Commission (set up in 2015).
