Not With Our Money
Citizens Bank is one of the last U.S. banks still financing private prisons and ICE detention centers, including CoreCivic and GEO Group’s Northeast Ohio Correctional Center in Youngstown. Through Not With Our Money, GCC — in coalition with sister organization GBIO — is organizing congregations and individuals to identify their financial ties to Citizens Bank and pledge to move their money as collective leverage, demanding the bank stop profiting from detention and dehumanization.
