Energized Delegate Assembly Has Lots to Celebrate!

Last night’s Delegate Assembly at Forest Hill Church in Cleveland Heights was full of energy and celebration. GCC delegates:

  • Met GCC’s new lead organizer Keisha Krumm.
  • Got a sneak preview of GCC’s new website.
  • Heard that the County’s jail consultant is recommending an off-site, pre-booking Diversion Center based on preliminary data.
  • Unanimously passed GCC’s revised code of regulations.

In addition, the GCC Strategy Team has recommended that GCC do a large-scale, 1,000+ action early next year. The date is Feb 27th at 7:00 pm at a location to be determined. Focus of the action will be on our Criminal Justice work, as well as welcoming new congregations into GCC.  Leaders should be thinking about their turnout numbers for this action. Commitments will be taken at our next Delegate Assembly on January 23, 2020.

Lots to celebrate, but still much work to do as we head into an action-filled 2020.
Delegates were challenged to get their muscles back in shape for mobilizing their congregations. As Keisha Krumm put it:

“GCC, let’s get ready to fight!”
