On Saturday, April 11, 24 of our brightest next-generation leaders gathered with GCC leadership and trainers for our first-ever Youth Change Maker Studio. This inaugural event created a space for young people to connect, collaborate, and express their ideas on issues that matter most to them.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in thoughtful discussions on topics such as the environment, the rising cost of living, and the impact of elections on their communities. Working in small groups, they transformed these conversations into original creative pieces—including drawings, graphics, short plays, and songs—each reflecting their unique perspectives and lived experiences.
More than just a workshop, the Youth Change Maker Studio was a powerful reminder that young people are not only aware of the challenges facing our communities, but are also ready to contribute meaningfully to solutions. Their creativity, insight, and willingness to engage inspire us all.
Our youth have important stories to tell and thoughtful ideas to share—and it’s time we continue to listen, support, and amplify their voices.
